Before Maison Riv, we were interior designers in New York and every project ended the same way.
A client would fall for a designer piece. Having it meant paying 3-5x what it costs to make. Or buying a mass-market version that didn't feel the same.
The designer pieces were made by specialist ateliers, and over the years we came to know them well. So we started commissioning the pieces ourselves.
